Hey guys, just thought I'd share a few pics of my weekend maintenance Session: First of I cleaned my Air Filter, MAF and then moved onto the Throttle Body:

Managed to get a lil look inside the manifold as well.

See how rough cast the intake manifold is inside? I spent 3 days polishing my MK2 escort intake manifold back in the day, it looked like a mirror when it was done.

Then I put on twin 40's so was a bit pointless anyway, looked great though.

what about idle control values sorry to hi jack, do these engines have them ?

Good work. Just a pointer for future reference. The TB butterfly has a special 'anti stick' coating and should not be cleaned, I've always found they need cleaning eventually anyway though!

Something beneficial for another weekends work would be to clean the breather system and associated tubes :drag:

Where/ What exactly is the TB butterfly? is it the gasket you're talking about? and does the pipe on top of the throttle body come off? because I took the clip off but the pipe seemed welled on somehow. If you're referring to the IC pipes I've cleaned them as well, thanks for the helpful feedback :beerchug:
