a3 alloys

have just bought an 1.6 a3 99/T reg. would like to change wheels for a set of 16inch audi a4 rims. presume these will fit ok with 205x50 or similar? dont really want to go to 17s
as have had these on prev car an fed up with paying for tyres. anyone know of any places in south london/south coast area where can buy good 2nd hand?

any help appreciated

Unfortunately you can't put A4 wheels on A4 as the PCD is different (that's the diameter of the wheel bolt layout). It is 5 x 100mm on A3 and 5 x 112mm on A4, so the bolts won't line up. You can put TT wheels on A3 as it is the same floorpan.
ebay's pretty good for wheels and also has a lot of wheel specialists listed, search for "Audi wheels"

there is alwaus the possiblity to buy spacers which fit the A3 (5x100) but are able to take 5x112 wheels.
I remember seeing it somewhere on the net (just dont know where anymore /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif )

As stated A4 wheels will not fit directly onto an A3, so I would suggest scouring the internet and trying to find some old T sport 16's, these will be mega cheap as most owners tend to ditch them in favour of something bigger, and they suit the car.....plus they keep the factory look.
