Hi,

ive been reading up on here, seems the best way to clean Alcantara is a Vax or get them prof val'd.

Ive decided to do them myself, but there's one ther prob, the driver seat is really quite fluffed up in places, it's like i need a beard trimmer to sort it, any ideas how i get the surface smooth again, ie trim off the excess fluffing on surface?

I have use a small machine that you can buy from John Lewis to de-bobble your clothes it worked great on the alcantara in my old car

Do you mean a Remington Fuzz-away M44 ?

Bought one from John Lewis over weekend i think it was about 8pounds, did a good job of sorting my seats out, they were filthy and fluffy, vax'd them and then gave them a shave! Ill post some before n after pics later.
