From Alfa to Audi, Hello mein comrades

Long time listener, first time caller here. Just picked up an 02 plate 225 S3, metallic blue. Looks like the original owner just selected the full leather/Bose upgrade in the extras list. Picked it up for £10,600 on 63k. Chap wanted 11k but as the cambelt needed doing he knocked the £400 off. Seemed a fair price to me for an 02 225 model. Thanks to this site for the heads up on the cambelt! He actually called Audi who said 80k for the cambelt but I stuck firm with the advice from this site and he eventually agreed (probably knew I was right).

Park near a chap at work who has just picked up an 02 TT and whilst he gets the hair dresser comments I get the manly admiration!

Anyways, for the camblet/water pump change I don’t want to pay dealer prices so I was hoping some one could recommend a good independent Audi / VAG garage in Poole/Dorset?

well done for your purchase by the way.

I havent found anywhere in poole that has been any good but if your ok with a small drive, there is a place in Gillingham that is excellent. Its called autotechnics.

I think it is probably the best garage i have ever been too. Very slick service. Just got my cam belt done, was about £340 ish i think (had other stuff done too and it all came to £400.)

Its only 40 mins away but well worth it. They even brought out the worn parts and showed them too me and talked me through what had happened to them.

By the way - where in Poole??
