    Quattro transmission fluid change

    Hi,

Just had a flyer from Audi telling me my S3 is due for Quattro Transmission fluid change.

I'd rather not have this done immediately (I'm not using the car much at the moment anyway).

Any idea how important this is? And how much it costs?

    Cheers guys.

That would be the Haldex oil change, just take it to a local independant specialist as opposed to Audi, as you don't get a stamp for this.
It should be done every 20k miles with a new filter @ every 40k miles IIRC.

Ah. In that case, I had it done last year so I can ignore this. Great news, cheers.

no, the haldex is seperate from the rear diff

the haldex transfers the torque, the diff is the 'cogs in a box'
