I did a search today for car insurance quotes on a 1.8T a3 and its only about 100 quid more expensive than what I'm paying on my 1.6!

So due to a recent payrise I am now looking for a 51 plate or newer Black 1.8T A3 with around 40,000 miles on the clock!

If anyone sees any going in great condition then tell me about it!

All i have to worry about is selling my current A3 so I can afford the new one...anyone know of any decent short-term loans i can get?

If haven't tried it, worth adding someone female as a named driver to the policy as it is likely to reduce your premium. I'm 33 with 8 years NCB and added a 30 year old female friend to my policy and it knocked £40 off my premium.

I've actually been looking at an 8P a3 as its pretty much the same cost to insure as an 8L 1.8t...hmmm!

Just did one - cheapest I got was over 2 times what im paying now

I've just tried them and they cannot even give me a quote for my S3. 25 4 years NCB. no points etc etc.

They've quoted me £437 for mine without mods declared. I'm currently with Admiral, £399 all mods listed. And that's for a NA 1.8!
