rear diff reliability after haldex upgarde?
i've just been informed by a mechanic (friend of a friend) that the rear diff's on the S3's are **** and notorious for failing? he strongly advised against my haldex upgrade? i dont know the man but he comes highly recomended from an experianced mate?
i said i'd heard nothing on here from mainly happy costomers?
anybody got stories to the contrary??
Audi S4 Black on Black. 1999(T)facelift, Aluminium Mirrors, KW Varient 3 coilovers, AmD remap, uprated D/V's, 315bhp375Lb/ft torque, milltek down, 100cpsi cats an back, S4 B6 18" Oem runnin toyo T1-R's. Rs4 B5 front brakes still to fit...
have to say that sounds like ******** to me.
Haldex failures are rare, and the performance controllers are made by haldex themselves, so you should expect them to be just as reliable.
hud at ye bam
I've been running mine for well over a year now. No issues at all, not even with the BT.
