Whats everyones car history?

Seeing as i'm fairly new on here thought i'd see what everyones gone from and too car wise.

I'm 20 years old now, started off with a Silver Corsa which I bought just before I turned 17, had it a good 3 years, never let me down, was a fantastic car, great fun and a real headturner. Anway its time came to an end the end of last year, sometimes I miss it but the S3 is soo much better in many ways. Anyway this is what the Corsa looked like when I sold it on.






Then I got my 2nd car, the S3. It may not be perfect, but I get such a buzz everytime I drive it, always brings a smile to my face. So far its proving quite costly to run, but worth every penny.





Here is a pic of them together from a few weeks ago when I went to a meet and so did the lad who bought my Corsa.



Anyway thats it so far for me, whats next? I don't know yet, for the moment the S3 is perfect. Maybe an Evo which i've always had a soft spot for but for the time being I can't think of alot else i'd rather be in for the money.

I've owned 4 cars total in 15 years of driving, of which I still own 3. Only other one was my first car, a 1989 F reg Polo C in white which I bought in 1994 and sold in 1997 to buy the Ibiza.

It feels horrendous mate, but you dont feel any older until you hear things like DOB's.

christ guys! how do you afford to buy an S3 aged 20?

im a student at uni, and i found it hard to buy and now run my A3 1.8T.

if we are talking road cars, ive had 4 so far,

started off with my mini, 998cc of madness, which blew up after 4 days.

ran a citroen ZX 1.9D reflex after that for 3 months whilst sorting the mini out, 4 engines later, the mini was running with a whopping 79bhp through a mildly tunned 1275

ran that for a year, changing all the time, until the 1275 finally gave out. had my dads old audi 80 estate for a few months, whilst i built up a 1380 monster engine for the mini.

ran the mini for another year on the 1380, making 115bhp, before electrical gremlins set into the 16year old wiring loom, and i decided it was time to grow up and buy a sensible car, and bring the mini back to life some time this summer when i can afford it.

so i bought the audi, which was pretty dull to be honest, so its been transformed with a Revo remap, which has made it much more fun to drive


cars in general, i dont really know how many ive had, its somewhere around 20-25 i think.

i started grasstrack racing aged 11, and raced in all manner of cars until i was 16.

a mk3 1972 mini, with a monster swiftune motor pushing 138bhp, future rebuild into all out track car
mk1 1300 ghia escort in bright orange. planning a rebuild with a 2ltr pinto on webbers. not exactly quick, but itll be fun

And now I have finally grown up and got an silver 2002 S3, which is currently being modded!

Got chance of another house, sold the VX and got a Clio trophy at very good money.....

1985(15 yrs old!!) mk2 Fiesta 1.1., then 1.3 motor, then 1380 rally motor, then 1.6 race motor, then 1.9 tall block stroker motor! Owned it til 1997!! Still miss it, it was an animal!
1992- Nova 1.2 merit! - Brilliant car, was 6 yrs old when I got it, it had 11k miles on it Ran it for 3 years, tyres, brakes and oil changes, sold it at 99k miles and got only £500 less than I paid for it! !
1995 Golf mk2 GTI 8v.
1997 company cars! Rover 216.
1998 Company car Civic Vtec
1999 Co car Focus Zetec! Best handling stock car I have ever had, years ahead of its time!
2000- junked company car bought......Golf Mk2 GTI! Still got it, its a beast! was stock, now a 2l 8v, shrick cam, full race head, 155hp.
2002- Porsche 944 S2 Cab. Bit of a project car, mechanically pretty sound, needed attention to interior and hood, still got it, its MINT now! Great fun summer classic soft top Porker! Love it!
2004 Golf GTi t Mk4. Was stock, with leather recaros! not for long, ! Konis, H and Rs, big ARbs, BBS, K03 s, 242hp at Jabba! Still have it, great fun and rapid car!
2006 S3- bog stock.......not for long now with sorted chassis, BT coming!

Oh, cars are OK, but I am a bike junky, I have 6, only ever sold two, all the others I kept! TRx850 YAM, rs250 APRILIA, Triumph speed triple race bike, Suzook TL1000R (sold) Cr250 honda(sold), Wr450 yam, Aprilia RSV 1000 R Edwards rep!

Too many toys! far too many! God when i write it all out its a bit scary. Dont let the missus see the list!

im 23, drove my parents renault 19 1.9dt RT for the first year and a half of driving then at 19 got my first car a mk1 golf gti campaign, kept that until feb 06 when i swapped it for a e30 318is, finished uni in june and got my S3 in october, looking at houses now so it might be for sale soon, not that i want to get rid of it although i do miss my mk1.

1998 - 2002: '96 1.9D seat ibiza - no turbo so about 69bhp IIRC - very slow but cheap to insure and saw me through uni

2002 - now: 1.9 TDI 130 A3 (bought it new when i started my first proper job)
