ping from suspension turret?

Hi All, my mums audi makes a rather loud pinging noise when turning the wheel from side to side. It sounds as though its coming from the suspension turret?

Anyone have any ideas what it might be?

Sounds like it will be the top mounts mate, the bearings will be probably be seized. Is it worse when maeuvering?

yep seems worse at low speed manuevering.... is it dangerous to drive as is?

Check the spring too, you should be able to see if its snapped - I wouldnt drive it for too long like that but shouldnt be immediately dangerous
