read the posts but i know this induction kit is good and nice noise but just wondering how good it will be with the sheild round it to help stop the heat

In a word...useless.

It's a bad idea to fit any exposed filter type kit to an S3 as it'll suck in hot air. The heat shield as shown is a complete waste of time and effort.

You can get away with a BMC fully enclosed type...but you'll not get any additional power.
