stereo code?!?!? ****** locked out

got my stereo to power up now after replacing the fuse but its in 'safe mode' now

i dont have the code for it as the previous owner hasn't supplied me with it!

how can i get it? i need it sorted before 2mora night as i've got a long drive up to northumberland

PS its the std stereo in the A3 turbo

with the serial number on the back audi will give it to you for free
just ring them they were good with me when mine went into safe mode

eh?!?! which audi place did you ring? i've both my local audi dealers n they want £25 for doing and need me to book the car in

they said they need to link it up to there computer n download the code from germany

Yeah they used to do it free I think they have started charging. I take it you dont have the code on the handbook that came with the car?

checked thru my orange bills to the day i bought the car n found the old owners number rang her n she still had the code!!
