Oil in my A3 T

Service and oil light just came up, I usually have synta gold but no where has it local.

Whats the best oil to put in from halfords or something?

If you currently use Synta gold, just use halfords own brand fully synthetic (in a silver bottle) as it is exactly the same oil.

10w 30 is said to be the best for turbo charged engines but that aint to easy to get either !

It is also worth bearing in mind that there are only a certain number of physical oil refineries in the country, so no matter what it says on the bottle, it can only come from a limited number of places.

So, for example, Castrol, Synta, Halfords, Millers, Comma and I think a couple more brands are all made by the same company and in effect are the same base oil. They may have slightly different additives, but the base oil will be identical across all the brands.

IMO get a relatively cheap fully synthetic 5W/40 and change it every 5000 miles.
