What clutch / hydraulic fluid ?

Does anyone know what fluid i should be using in the clutch system - does it share the same fluid with the brakes ?

How do we know when clutch, gearbox and/or the gearbox oil has gone? Does it whine, coz mine does, especially the other day on the way to and from the Cat and Fiddle. How do we check it guys, my car came with no book.
