service reminder countdown

does anyone know why the variable service reminder countdown would change from 19300 after reset back to 9300 after ignition is tuned off?


i'm confused.

is this normal?

My car isn't on AVS so I'm going from memory on what was discussed a while ago. I seem to recall that the 19000 is in km(?), then it sorts itself out into minimum service miles (9000) which should then increase as time goes on depending upon your driving style. Hope that sort of helps!
