Remote Key frequency??

All,

Got a 2000 A3QTS and only have the one real key and the black plastic one. The key I have is a 2-button key.

What should I look for on Fleabay?
Which frequency? / Code no.?
Will a 3-button key work if reprogrammed?

I know there was a post not-so-long-ago about reprogramming the fob with a sequence of window, down, window up, turn key, press button.....well almost. Anyone know the real sequence?

open your key up mate, stick a small slotted screwdriver under the tab thing and it will prise open, inside you will see lots of very small writing on the transponder bit, your part number and frequency will be on there, just search ebay for the part number.

2 buttons are quite rare thou and im looking for one atm too!
