    One shot window feature.

Why would this stop working after my battery was disconnected? Is it a VAG-Com job to switch it back on?

put your window fully down, then fully back up again (by holding the button). That should sort it out.

I'm not actually sure why it's recommended that you wind the window all the way down and back up, when you can reset the 'one touch' function by simply pulling the window swith upwards for 5 secs with the windows fully closed?

interesting, mine did this after i removed the battery to fit my induction kit, i couldnt work it out at all, and after fiddling with the window up and down it just started working again....

are there any other things that would have been reset by having the battery out for an hour?

Yes, your stereo, if it's the Audi one, will require the code in you handbook for it to be operating again, and you are suppose to start your car and let it idle for 5minutes or so for it to recalibrate the fuel/throttle settings I think.

    very odd.......

my battery was out for about an hour, the windows reset themselves, but the stereo didnt require a code at all, and yes, its the standard audi concert one.....

Maybe your battery wasn't 100% flat, you just coudn't start the car right?

the ECU starts again as well. I found the throttle acting a bit odd for a week, like it was considering stalling. It relearns your driving style, delivering fuel etc. It's all part of the fun of disconnecting the battery.

no, i actually took the battery out and put it on the drive for an hour or so on christmas day whilst i fitted my induction kit to give me more room, put it back in, connected it up, and everything worked perfectly straight off apart from the one touch windows!

    very odd i reckon....
