    Wind/road noise

One thing I have noticed on my A3 is that there seems to be an unusual amount of wind/road noise coming from the drivers door area (more specifically from the little vent at head height on the inside of the b pillar). It is especially loud when the road surface is wet.

On the out side of the car everything is flush fitting, so it is not like any trim is loose.

Does anyone else get this noise or is it just my car?

I find mine to be quite noisy too, if that's any help...?

I get a noise from my drivers door at the latch area at about 80mph and from the leading edge of the sunroof area but I need to be doing over 100mph for that so it doesn't really bother me too often. Other than that its fine.

Okay, maybe it is normal for the A3. I was just surprised that it was so much louder that my MkIV V5 Golf, and that has a Miltek exhaust fitted!

Both cars are running 225/45ZR17's so I guess tyre noise would be about the same.
