Hi,

Took my A3 in for a service yesterday to a VW dealership but I've been told that my rocker cover gasket is leaking and they want £230 to fix it? Does this sound right? They Also told me they £220 to replace rear brake pads and discs which also sounds a bit OTT. I was hoping VW would be cheaper than Audi, their hourly rates are only supposed to be £55!!! didn't think it'd take them 2.5 hours to fix some pads and discs! What do you guys think? The also quoted me £400 for the cambelt change.

Thanks,
Erfaan

Find a audi specialist were you live....were is that?.....if you are willing to travel there are a good few about and it will save you lots of money

£400 for Cambelt is right

Dont mean to rub it in but I got a cambelt change for 250 pounds. I would say 400 is OTT for this.

Me too, i got one for 150 but fair enough thats mates rates, even if u double it thats only 300

Wow , thats is damn expensive for replacing a rocker gasket. Very easy to do and not an expensive part either. Pop round my way and i will do it for half price!
