    Help - Rocker Cover Gasket

    Hi,

Took my A3 in for a service yesterday to a VW dealership but I've been told that my rocker cover gasket is leaking and they want Ł230 to fix it? Does this sound right? They Also told me they Ł220 to replace rear brake pads and discs which also sounds a bit OTT. I was hoping VW would be cheaper than Audi, their hourly rates are only supposed to be Ł55!!! didn't think it'd take them 2.5 hours to fix some pads and discs! What do you guys think? The also quoted me Ł400 for the cambelt change.

    Thanks,
    Erfaan

Dont mean to rub it in but I got a cambelt change for 250 pounds. I would say 400 is OTT for this.

Wow , thats is damn expensive for replacing a rocker gasket. Very easy to do and not an expensive part either. Pop round my way and i will do it for half price!
