Xenon Question

When i bought my A3 it came with xenon headlights, but the oem 4300K i'm looking to have 8000K installed, but my question here is, do i have to change the whole thing, i mean starter ballast, bulb, or i'll be just fine if i change the bulbs?

You can buy new bulbs only. Quite expensive tho
