Passenger side door

Hi all

I have a problem woth the door opening on its own. Obviously this gets a bit worrying going round roundabouts and my high tech method of securing it with rope around the seat really doesn't look like oe!

I need to take off the door card to have a look but has anyone experienced anything like it? I'm thinking door broken latch and was wondering how much a new one would cost?

sounds like the latch indeed, never heard of it before now

has your door been slammed or handled in a way so that something could break?

No I dont think so. It is coming on 10 years old so may be wear and tear. Hopefully it wont be too expensive Christmas has killed me!
