a3 1.8t turbo service

hi all

maybe this has been said before maybe not

i have a 1998 a3 1.8t and i just wanted to know

does the turbo itself need to be serviced the car has 120k on the clock

i realy love it and want the best for the car

also what oils are recommened for a car with high miles

Turbo doesn't need servicing. I guess they don't last much past 150k - if they get that far! If/when it goes, upgrade!!

I prefer thinner oils, as they get to the turbo quicker, and are easier to warm up. But I mainly do 15-20 mile journeys.

could you get the original turbo upgraded by turbo technics

or some other turbo company
