Wierd noise when starting off...

When i start my journey every morning and as soon as i take my foot of the clutch i here a fluttering sound from the engine bay.

does anyone have any idea where exactly it's coming from and what needs to be done to sort it.

It will be your DV, the standard audi one is renound for breaking! there only £17 quid or summin for a new 1!

i bought and fitted a new DV but the fluttering sound is still there...

does the noise still happen if you change gear off boost, (below 2500 rpm) or acelerating gently??

Just when gently accelerating it makes the noise.

Is it something major?

to tell you the truth its hard to diagnose a problem without actually hearing it! i am guessing it could be wastegate chatter! but you have changed the DV so am stumped! without having a look at it!

I assumed it was the DV as i read previous posts.

Just curious but what is wastegate chatter?
