Condensation?

Just lately I have been getting a lot of condensation on the inside of the A3 - to the point were I had ice on the inside when it was really cold a couple of weeks back. I have spoke to the garage and they suggested it could be the air-con until I told them that I didn't have air-con.

There are no obviously leaks (when there is heavy rain there are no damp patches on the inside).

Is this just a common problem with A3s?

Any help appreciated.

It could be a number of things as mentioned above. First thing I'd check is: are any of your carpets wet or damp. Is there any water in your spare wheel well?

If its not any of those, it could be you pollen filter. Air-con and non-air-con cars have them. If they get moisture in them, it gets released into the car as soon as you switch your fans on. Also, make sure your air-recirculation button isn't perminantley on - that can cause things to steam up pretty quick in a non air-con car.

Just some ideas.

I had a very similar problem with my old A4.
It transpired that the heater matrix had a slight leak.
Sadly expensive to fix, and a bu***r to live with.
Best of luck /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
