s3 bumper on an a3 seems to be some disagreement on fit

hi i have a 2003 a3 td1 i bought it as an accident write off fitted new wings front panel etc but have bought a s3 bumper i dropped it all off at the paint shop without dry building it (long story) reading the threads some people say it will fit some disagree i have the s3 mounting things so it should pull in just dont want to get it all painted and it look crap ie large gaps on the joint etc
any help would be great will buy a std bumperskin and get that to the paint shop

Well every1 seems to think an s3 front bumper wont fit an a3

but i used to have one on mine, all i did was buy s3 guide rails and it fitted absolutely fine.

I've just bought another one too, so if you hold off a few days ill confirm that the new one fits too, once could be a fluke but twice must mean it just works!

ive got an s3 bumper on my a3 and same as rode just needed s3 guide rails.

I used the bumper to wing plastic mountings from my Quattro bumper bit of a faf had to remove some material from s3 bumper but with these in place you bolt the bumper to the wing ensuring good fit etc (pic on my gallery of front o/s corner fits like a3 bumper gaps etc.)

thats great i'll got it painted and nip and buy the headlamp washers now
