Can I Activate Temp Display?

Folks,
I have a new model A3 with climate control. As the climate control has an external temperature monitor and my dash seems to have an area for the temperature display, can I get this activated?
Also how do you now if the climate control is working correctly? Mine does not seem to cool very much until it is on the lowest setting

I think you need the DIS computer but could be wrong.

Hi Gavin, you should already have an outside temp display on the dash. Climate control works by sampling over 10 different temperature sensors in and outside the car, and adjusting the AC or heater accordingly. Given the cold spell we've had it will only kick out cold air if you're selecting a setting that is colder than the ambient temp in the cabin. It also doesn't work if the outside temp is lower than 5 degrees (little snowflake displaying on dash)
