drive belt question

on the A3/S3 with air con how is the drive belt routed? looking at the car from front to back, does the belt go over the ac compressor towards the front of the car or behind the compressor after it has gone over the alternator - if anybody understands what I mean! The reason is i've been sent one and its ribbed on both sides but I dont think its the right one i have been sent, there are no ribs on the tensioner.

I changed one ona a 1.6 A3 not long agon, with A/C, and it was ribbed on both sides for sure, unfortunately I don't remember if the tensioner had ribs on the pulley and it wasn't a 1.8 20v.
