Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire independent specialists

Hi Folks,

I'm relatively new to the forum but have been reading it a lot since I joined up and have noticed from peoples profiles that there are quite a few people from the Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire area. I would just like to ask these people who they use to service/repair their vehicles (apart from main dealers).
I have used Aberdeen Volks Centre in Kingswells for the last couple of services, cambelt, tensioner, waterpump, brakes etc and found them to be very good and will definately use them again.(although their loan cars are crap - 1993 Passat with dash light up like a xmas tree!!)
I also used wallace performance for the 4wd laser alignment as I think they're one of the only people with this facility in the area - correct me if I'm wrong.
Previous to the S3 I had a 328i coupe and used the german car specialist (word used in the loosest sense) Bavaria Auto Werke in Hutcheon St. but none of my cars will ever be going back there!

Who do you recommend?

There's the odd one or two from this neck of the woods....

Speccy Cars are well worth avoiding. They're manage to do a few horrendous things to my car, and there's plenty of other people with similar tales. A few people I know use the Volks Centre and have no complaints. They're about £20/hour cheaper than Specailist. I take the S3 to Star Performance in Kirkcaldy. It's a bit of a (fun) hike, but they're good at what they do.

i would agree with chris about specialist cars, i tend to use volks centre too, they see to be pretty good and the guys seem knowledgable about VAG cars.
will look out for you on the roads.

I have used Bavaria for quite some time now and never had a problem, put my previous BMW's there and had the S3 in there for some work. A few mates with BMw's go there also and never had any problems, always a decent level of service.

I don't think there is any more specialists in the area.
