Only had the car 6 weeks and the oil warning light came on, I checked the dip stick and its just at the bottom of the indented area on the dip stick so I topped it to mid way with the bottle of oil audi left in when I got the car.

Ive read the S3 eats oil but am I best to just keep topping it up till I change the oil in about 3500 miles time (Audi serviced it before I bought it)????

If it was serviced 6 weeks ago that's a lot oil to burn in a short space of time! Have you been REALLY thrashing it?

I check mine once a month and sometimes don't even need to put any in.

I havent been thrashing it at all, Ive done 2000 miles in about 7-8 weeks since I bought it though

Well I think that's a lot of oil to get through, but I think it's been said before that some S3s are thirstier than others for no apparent reason.

believe it or not, 1 litre of oil burnt for 2k miles is within VAG's tolerances.

You'd have to burn more than 1 litre per 1k miles in order to get them to listen.
