S3 lower strut brace

read a post bout a lower S3 strut brace,did S3's have these as mine has not got one, saying this as it said u can get them from audi?

fitted a lower brace on my car (a3) today, got mine from vagparts. i think from reading around, some had them fitted, some not.

is it worth doing this, would it not make it the car understeer more in the wet??

mine was missing too from my s3 - i took it up with audi and they said 'oh yes sir - probably a build error' - !!!!!!????!!!!

like a build error was perfectly normal - maybe they sometimes forget to put the wheels on and only notice when they cant drive it off the production line....
