Hello can anyone recommend a boost guage with oilar pod and turbo timer as am looking to but some very soon cost is not a problem.

Thanks

What scale do you need?
The Defi gauges are very nice. The face is blank until the gauge is turned on.
I've got a pilar pod in mine. It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.

Here's a picture I found.

Cool where abouts did you find this? I want it to be diplayed up the right hand side pillar. Please let me know.

A friend of mine has Defi gauges and I thought they looked good.
I’m not sure where is the best place to get them. I did a quick search and found this place:
http://www.srbpower.com/defi/
Click on Defi-Link Meter BF and Defi-Link Control Unit II
They explain what the gauges do and what you need to use them.
I’m sure if you look yourself you’ll find some more suppliers.

I used a Revotech single gauge pillar pod to trimmed to fit, to mount my boost gauge on the A-pillar.

Sorry, but this the only image I could get at the moment, but I’m sure others here must have something similar.

How much boost is running there?

Looks like 1.5 bar. Could that be right? Not au fait with boost pressures on cars...

Just had a look on the awesome gti website and i can see why your saving up. Not cheap are they!?

Full cost of having this gauge is:

gauge £140
Unit 2 box for gauge £60
Pillar mount in leather £25

It has cost me £225 so far not bad will lokk quality though. Wwill post pics at a later date.

It will be easy to add more gauges too. They just daisy chain together IIRC.
Has anyone here got a gauge mounted in the side air vent? I've seen a couple of Golf IVs with this.

Secret Squirrel: Where did you get the Revotech single gauge pillar pod? And how much was it?
Thinking i need a boost gauge in my life at the moment :eyebrows:

I got it from Demon Tweeks [spit] before I had enough of them.
IIRC it was ~15. I got the leather grain effect pillar mount.
It requires a little trimming to fit the A-pillar trim, and takes a 52mm gauge, although it can be modified to take a 60mm gauge.

It looks like I spelt the name wrong in my earlier post, it should be Revotec.
Here's a link.

Cheers, I take it you didn't think much of Demon tweeks customer service?
Errr... No.
10 years ago they would bend over backwards to help, and were very reliable.
Now I think they're only really interested in selling stick on parts for the likes of Saxos.

I didn't really want a pillar mount, but I wanted a boost guage. The one that comes as part of the Apexi AVC-R is pretty cool.
I didn't either really, but I couldn't stand not having a boost gauge, so needed a quick fix.
Personally I don't like digital boost gauges. I much prefer to be able to glance at a needle.
