At slow speeds like under 25mph, (in 1st or 2nd gear) if I start accelerating a little and then back off without using brakes (ie for a speed hump) it feels a quite jolty and jurky (not big jerks but not smooth) like it didnt want to slow down. Just wondered if this was something on the way out?
My mums A6 feels dead smooth on lifting off the throttle, no hesitation or jolt just decelerates really smoothly.
Any thoughts welcome!

Cheers

Yeh cheers for the reassurance guys,
I was told it might be the turbo spooled up and ready for boost.
But hey I'm sure its fine!

it's something to do with the throttle body being closed and the change in presure/vacuum. or something!

the throttle theory makes sense. i'd heard that it was something to do with the brakes, the way they 'auto clean' themselves or the computer decides to do little sharp breaking actions when it thinks it can drive better than you can. i think the throttle pressure answer is better though!
