removing front wiper arms

OMG how hard can this be? ive been trying for the last hour and im that ****** off ive give up!! used loads of WD40 to no avail, anyone got any tips for me?

dont i just wish i had a puller like in the second pic, tried the first pic, no use

Push down on the part of the arm closest to where it is attached, and lift up the rest of the wiper arm. Now keep pushing and pulling on the short springy part, and it should ease off. Its quite tough at the minuit because its not at a right angle to the nut.
