retrofit headlight washers?

spoke to a guy who retrofitted xenons using a kit onto his A3 and dead impressed on how bright they are.

his bumper already had the headlight washers so obviously he didnt need fit those, however my current bumper doesnt have this so i imagine i would need a new bumper, is there any special wiring thats needed to make headlight washers work?

do any pre-facelift a3's have the washers? could i stick a a3 bumper that has the washers on without a problem?

I did on my A3, you don't need to change the bumper, you must only do the holes on the bumper. The kit is sold by Hella but all part are OEM.

do you reuse the bit you've cut out of the bumper or does the actual washer come with the top bit to cover over what you've cut out?

also how does it work? how is it "wired" into the car?
