Will be swapping my turbo out soon and just wondering how bad a job it is? Access looks tight to say the least lol.

Any tips or is it best left to the pros? Im pretty capable around a car just have never done this on an audi before.

cheers

I did my K03 to K03s swap a few weeks ago, and it was a bitch of a job. There's really no room at the back of the engine to work with, and it's a nightmare to do it on your own. Get another pair of hands, and it's tons easier.

The most difficult bits are reconnecting the oil and water lines followed by the difficult exhaust manifold and downpipe are. Other than that, it's not too bad if it has method to it. Definately use new gaskets and washers though.

If you've done a cambelt then you should be ok.

On the S3 with the 6-speed box and the quattro transmission about the easiest way to change the turbo is taking the engine out. Trust me, just done it!!!

my spanner mate is doing it while Im away in london next week :D Turboed up S3 will await when I get back ;)

I swapped from an M3 mate I need all the extra boost I can get ;)

Its an OE housing tho so no fitment hassles all being well.
