cruise control question

I want to get cruise control fitted on my S3, i've heard you can get it fitted for less than £100 by VAG but can i get the bits and fit it myself? is it easy enough? and how much are the parts?

I do know that it has got to be activated by VAG-COM though.

or is it just easier to get it fitted by the pro's????
