S3 AVS service costs

Just a bit of info for you S3 guys.

Just had my first AVS service @ 11k miles - Haldex service not yet due - here are the costs: -

labour.............£112
oil - long life.....£58.80
oil filter ??........£4
oil filter element..£13
screenwash...........£1.49
seal.................£0.60

NETT...............£189.89
VAT.................£33.23
TOTAL..............£223.12

pleased with the work done & was quoted £230, so price okay. Used to pay around £170 for an inspection service for my Golf TDI 110, with semi synthetic oil, so I guess price is not too bad.

work done by Lincoln Audi, A3 TDI 130 (quite quick) courtesy car FOC & washed & vacced the S3 FOC.

can recommend them anyday.

when are the different services due, when it comes to this im abit thick

avs service is just the std one right and the haldex is the full works with gearbox oil change

Hi will S3

- AVS is due when the DIS indicates - mileage dependant on type of driving, no. of cold starts, etc. can be anywhere between around 8k to 20k.

- Haldex service is due every 20k, as stated in the service book.

I'm hoping my next AVS service will co-incide with the Haldex service at around 20k
