thanx for the warm welcome all :-)

well... its a 1998 A3 1.8T Sport. I believe it has the 150bhp egnine (engine code slips my mind right now). It is chipped from a company in Coventry (i also forget their name right now aswell). The previous owner to me said it was chipped upto around 220BHP. I find this somehow slightly unbelievable now knowing that it has the 150BHP engine & not the 180BHP engine (i could be wrong with the assumption that it has the 150BHP engine, but something seems to ring a bell in my head when looking through the service history & comparing the engine code with an engine code link on this forum).

Please, somebody correct me if i am wrong, or better still... help me learn more about my Audi :-D

It has been lowered & currenty sits on some TT rims, wrapped in 225/45/17 rubber. Im actually getting 4 new tyres for it tomorrow, Toyo Proxes all round :-D
The reason im doing this is none of the current tyres are of the same brand & i want them all the same :-)

It also has a rear spoiler (possibly from S3?).

Forge Motorsport Dump Valve (atleast i think its a Forge Motorsport item).

Full CAT back Milltek stainless exhaust with twin pipe rear box.

I think, that about covers it :-)

    Cheers, Pete.

Better yet, when looking for your engine code (on the Vehicle Data Sticker(s) - one on the inside-front cover of your service record and the other in the spare wheel well) - there is a power output figure in kilowatts prinited a bit further on...

But the simple answer of course is, if it's FWD it's 150bhp standard and if it's Quattro it's 180bhp.

    Regards,

    Rob.

110KW AGU engine with DBZ gearbox?

Oh well, so i guesss it really was a 150BHP engine as standard.

It does seem to be more than that now (all this just through the driving experience & the feel of the way the power comes in).

What would your estimations be as to how much BHP the car should have after a rechip, DV & a CAT back stainless exhaust fitted?

    Cheers, Pete.

About 180-190BHP. Only way to tell is to have it rolling roaded - costs about 100.

It depends what turbo that engines got, some of the 150bhp engines actually came with KO3s turbos and not the standard KO3. These KO3s turbo'd fwd A3's make 220bhp to 230bhp when remapped, where as the KO3 turbo'd cars tend to make closer to the 200bhp mark.

Is there anyway for me to tell which turbo my car is using then?
Space looks very limited around the back of the engine :-(

What would be the next best performance upgrade for my car?

Im liking the look of a FMIC. Just its lots of money & i dont know which one is best suited the my car. Suggestions please :-)

    Cheers, Pete.
