Reduced parts and labour >3yrs old

As title, my S3 has just been MOT'd as its 3 tomorrow. Anyhow the MOT was £22.00 and they advised me that all labour is now half rate and parts carry a 30% reduction when a car becomes greater than three years old.

Has anyone else been offered this from their dealer? I think this is a great idea as it keeps the right stamps in the book and makes them as competitive as most independents.

Hmm, not heard of this one before but sounds like a sensible move - but I'm guessing its only a short term offer.

Even if they halve the labour rate, specialists still work out cheaper. Just shows how much that nice coffee machine really costs.

Yep I've been offered that before at more than one Audi garage, think some it's 4 years old and some it's only 25% and most you have to ask but they do, do it when asked.

Anyone know if the this applies if less that three years old but out of warranty due to mileage ?

Just had my car serviced and when prompted was offered 10% reduction on labour rates. This was on quotes from Leicester Audi and John Fox in Nottingham

My local dealer won't do this. When I mentioned it over the phone they said they'd never heard of such an offer?

I think this must be Dealer specific and not an Audi Uk directive. My dealer is Tyneside Audi and like I have stated, they do this. It may be worth the travel for some?

Reading Audi will drop their rate to £75 an hour from memory and I'm pretty sure Slough Audi will do the same or less and on my last bill it wasn't very clear how they gave the discount as there was some on the parts too.

My dealer does this too...Teesdide Audi which like Nervus' is the same franchise.

Do people know that when your warranty is about to expire you can book it in for a end of warranty inspection where they go through your car with a fine tooth comb and replace parts that are on their way out as the dealer gets paid by Audi for warranty work!
