    slow tickover

My S3 (2002 BAM) has suddenly slowed its tickover to about 700 rpm. It intermittently spluts as though it's going to cut out.

Does any one have any ideas re what could be the problem? Can it be adjusted?

I had the same problem when I changed my flywheel
You can increase the revs with vagcom

Low revs and spluttering can be a vacuum leak. There is a hose to the left of the head that splits on the S3. Worth a look.

Also dodgy coilpacks, lambda probes etc.

Deffo need to have a look to see if there are any error codes.
