Hi All, I've heard on the grape vine that the above valve on my A3 1.8T is probably faulty and has been naff since the time it was born! I was also told that the original one (bosch i think) has been update recently because of its short life span (different make too)

Can anybody shed any light on this?
I didn't have the car from new so wouldn't no any better really! It a 97 P if thats any help.

Cheers Jinx

P.S. not looking to fit aftermarket one tho.

just brought the update diverter valve a few day ago and it cost £20 it can be fixed under 10 mins ,but make sure the engine is cold or you will burn yourself

Jinx,
The part code for the diverter valve is 06A 145 710N.
Have a look at your old valve and the last letter of the code will be lower than N.

hope this help
Kenny
