Got a REVO remap and SPS3 switch.

Any reason NOT to run at high boost 9 all the time? Does it strain anything? Fuel consumption?

If I didn't have the switch surely it would be permanently set at the highest setting anyway?

only reason not to run it at 9,9 all the time is when your using crappy petrol, or on a really hot day.

I'm not too sure i'd run it 100% like that without a FMIC either - but i'm paranoid as hell.

I run mine low boost 9, timing 6 on optimax.

I thought this was the safest for everyday driving.

I don't think I would ever go near high boost 9.

use vag-com to log timing ,boost and intake and adjust accordingly

I agree with Ryan, that is what i did,i only run high boost 6 and timing 6 (old sps3).I also have a lot of mods inc huge high flowing fmic, higher settings without a fmic is pointless too much heat build up means ecu will pull back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gifAndy

Slightly off topic, what does 'pull back' feel like?

At higher speeds (high torque scenarios), lets say between 90 and 100 mph, I get what I can only describe as a massive flat spot..

For example, can be cruising at 90-100 and put my foot flat to the floor and its like the timing is massively retarded and it kinda 'bogs down' then all of a sudden it will pick up and accelerate...

I have the Samco TIP and A Forge DV so can only assume its ECU related?
