Hi All,

Been quoted £406 all in by a specialist for OEM discs and pads all round.

Is this a good price?

Ta!

I did it myself and the parts were £220, so thats £180 in labour which is around the going rate as it took me 3 hours to do. Im no mechanic and the whole job was easy to do and there is even a guide on waks site www.wak-tt.co.uk

As nervus has said, sounds like a fair price (ish) for paying someone to do it, but the parts are around £220 - £250 from eurocarparts / gsf / vwspares so the rest is labour and just depends on whether you want to pay it or not.

I wouldn't trust myself doing something as important as brakes, especially with the baby in the car so much.

Just out of interest, the dealer quote was £597

I've just bought the parts from euro in Cardiff, discs and pads all round, ATE too. £137 trade and a mate saved me the vat. Bargain.

Chris.
