radio code missing.....

So after changing the clutch i go to turn on the radio today and SAFE comes up, i assumed if it was the original stereo for the car the ecu takes over and unlocks it - maybe its not the same one it came from the factory.

Looked in the book pack and the little credit card code thingy has been removed and i dont have it, what are my options, is there a way Vagcom can retrieve it? Id rather not pay anyone to unlock a crappy standard stereo, but equally id quite like it to work.

Only way is to ask Audi Vagcom won't do it, they will need the serial no off the radio
