Gear stick knob

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a new knob for the top of the gear stick? Mine's got a bit scuffed and chipped (I blame my girlfriend's ring (!) ).

If so is it easy to fit? I tried to unscrew the knob but it wouldn't budge, felt like it was attached to the whole stick.

Anyone know?

Yes you can, have a look at www.vagparts.com the leather gator clips into the surround at the base then the top is secured by an Audi style jubilee clip thingy - easy to change and mine has worked fine for over a year with no clip (don't think vagparts have my nice metal one anymore though but they have some others)
