So i purchased this k03-053 privately for my AGU golf. Good news is that he thought it was a k03. its a ko3s as i was wanting!

He said he had it checked over by his local garage and they gave it a clean bill of health. It has minimal play in the turbine. I asked about cracks, he promised not, and was a little cheeky with his picture angles!

Anyway, he says this must have happened in the post.......





Now i understand that this is probably the part of the turbo that gets most of the heat from the exhaust flow. It is at least 12mm from the wastegate opening. Is this turbo worth using?

And on the slight off chance that my k03 has no cracks on the hotside, is it a home DIY to swop them over? it 'looks' like the 8 or so tabs just hold the hotside on to the compressor unit.

The next question. My car is stage one mapped on my current k03. Peaks at 16psi. Holds 10.
As the AGU is MAF based, will the ECU compensate for the increase in Mg/s?
