IHI VF34/22 HYBRID

Anyone delt with this turbo before. I cant find anyone that rebuilds them and not many places have much knowledge on them. At the moment the turbo is at a place and there saying 600+ for seals shaft billet wheel bearings and the hot side housing. Does this sound reasonable or has anyone had it done cheaper or found the actual rebuild kit for them.

I think that's the turbo that Jabba sport used with their manifold on the 1.8T... You might want give them a call

VF34/22 hybrid, as in you mean just the P20 hotside yea?

fragile turbos in my experience and they do not cope well with egts that are common on 1.8ts

Got it sorted in the end. Yeah it was jabba conversion but as badger 5 said they are deffo very unreliable turbos, spools up very fast with the cosworth inducer but still made out of chocolate.
