engine noise help please

right just got my a3 8l 1.8 t,now ive had a good search and cant find anything definative,what i have and what ive read somebody describe as is,on acceleration (not always) i have what sounds like and induction noise or as someone described the sound as "blowing across the top of a bottle....coming from what seems to be behind the glove box area in the engine bay, as im new to the vag group i dont have much of an inclin.

Induction noise? What air filter have you got? Stick a paper one in if you have one and see if the noise reduces?

its stock filter in the box,its what i could best describe it as,car has apparently had a revo remap,but with standard intake and exhaust.

yeah thats one of the answers ive read but not read it as a definate answer,so whats it doing to make this noise now and again?
