Noggy chariot has bad blistering running along the edge to the door blade trim and forcing it away from the door

Anyone replaced these blade things and if so how much where they please?

( got a replacement door lined up but it hasn't got the door blade or interior trim / fittings

The blade costs about £140 odd from the dealer. I have a late 2002 noggy and it needed to be painted because it was totally a different colour. The earlier S3s don't seem to have a problem with colour matching but be prepared to fork out another £100 for some spraying if needed. I had the existing rear blade also painted so that there were no issues with colour differences. I dropped both blades off at a local bodywork specialist and picked them up freshly painted a few days later. A second hand blade would be a good idea if you can find one in good enough condition from a local scrappy.

Didn't realise the blades where painted !! just assumed they're grey because... well they're plastic ?

got a replacement door but its the bare door with no interior facia nor outside trim ... at least its noggy blue... ish, sort of, I hope :)

Yeah me too - the originals are not painted I agree, but the colour difference was a joke when it arrived - dark shiney grey original versus a pale pastel greyish colour, so I had to get them done. I had them painted in a matt colour and they look great. The original was a b*tch to get off because a screw was de-threaded so needed to drill it out.

Errr.....well you never know when a spare door might come in handy :)
