OEM parts help

Hello all. I'm looking for clarification if you can help. Am I right in thinking OEM parts (original equipment manufacturer) are the exact same part that you would buy from an audi dealer but it doesn't have the audi stamp on it? The OEM part is the exact same part and exact same quality but cheaper due to not being stamped with the audi badge?

Thanks mate, I was always worried that OEM parts were inferior in some way so when I ordered my new oil pump I got it direct from Audi which was £40 dearer than OEM as I wasn't 100% sure if there was a quality difference and thought I cannot take the risk on that part! Needn't of bothered!!

i know theres loads of oem parts out there
but some say oem and there not
i always use audi or TPS
not worth takeing the risk on some parts like the oil pump etc

Yeah, I use TPS, I take it they're the same parts as from Audi?

I find TPS more helpful and more knowledgeable than Audi

TPS are the same parts as the VAG group.

Dependant on which branch you go to, they are really good....Ive always found the Birmingham one to be very helpful indeed.
